Winnebago breakdown - #1

Driving along happily screaming to eachother (Winnebago super loud), Pola and I overhear a very loud pop and fizzy sound. We pull over to the side of the highway in Missouri, and take a look around. Wheels intact. We pull up the hood, pretend we know what we're looking at, close it, and then continue on our way. When we continue to drive, we notice that the heat gauge is all of a sudden increasing more than before and the A/C is no longer working. We drive for a few hours, and then decide to call Pola's dad, who tells us to find a mechanic immediately. Oops. We pull over the the walmart.....get some parts, lots of coolant and oil, some food, toilet sanitizer, and leave after a few hours. Had a wonderful employee at Walmart stay after hours on labor day weekend to help us out and get us back on the road.

St. Louis, Missouri (arch)

Took a stop through St. Louis, MO at around midnight. Stopped to photograph the arches. Listened to drunk Missouri girls sing “Winnebago, Winnebago” as we drove by. Arrived at the arches to find that we had lost the bottom hinge to our side door somewhere between Kentucky and St. Louis. Oops. Climbed the stairs to the arches. Got super dizzy. Took a few pics from un-flattering angles and continued on our way to Hannibal, MO.

Stopped a pit-stop. Admired confederate knives sold at the gas station, and filled up on “Rooster Booster” energy drinks. Slept at a nice RV facility surrounded by the most wonderful specimens of humans our beautiful country has to offer.

Taking off from Louisville....

Day Three: Arrived in Louisville, KY late night to pick up the Polster. Taking a break from fishing through people’s brains, Pola managed to pack up her shit, and after a few practice runs of leaving and returning, we left Louisville bright and early at 6pmJ.

Pickin up the Polster in Louisville, Kentucky

Pit-stop in Ohio

Overnight stop: Pittsburgh. Unaware that I would be driving a 19-foot RV, Kristi saved a nice 10 foot parking spot outside her house. After many tries, I somehow managed to parallel park the Winnie, while momentarily cutting off traffic for about 30 minutes.
